Do you live with chronic pain? Are you wanting to connect with someone to help support you during this time? Blue Sky Family Counseling has therapists who specialize in chronic pain and are here to serve you. Our therapists are Pain Warriors themselves and are honored to support you and advocate for you in any way possible.
My name is Lucy Dunning, LCMHS, and I have completed training and certification and am now a National Support Group Leader and Advocacy Leader for the U.S. Pain Foundation. The U.S. Pain Foundation is a national organization now operating at a local level in the Carolinas in the form of support groups and meetings. Support Groups are held virtually once a month with the goal of starting in-person group meetings once we have clearance due to COVID. Our support group is near the border of North and South Carolina, giving individuals living with chronic pain from both states an opportunity to access important resources.
Some topics that our pain support group addresses using resources provided by the U.S. Pain Foundation include: managing activities of daily life, learning new coping skills and gaining support through camaraderie with other people living with chronic pain. During our groups, you will also learn skills to help calm your central nervous system and reduce pain levels so that you can achieve your best quality of life possible.
If you are interested in attending one of our support groups, please email me at lucy@blueskyfamilycounseling.com.
