Chronic Illness and Pain Coaching Across the U.S.
No matter where you are in the United States, our Chronic Illness and Pain Coaching services are available to you. These services play a pivotal role in patient advocacy, aiming to educate both clients and their families about Chronic Illness and Pain. Our coaching encompasses enhancing self-awareness, promoting advocacy, and ensuring you’re making well-informed health care choices.
Navigating the expansive world of information on Chronic Illness and mental health can be daunting, given the rapid growth of technology and the internet. Moreover, as the intersection of psychology, chronic illness, and pain is a relatively fresh field, there’s limited current research on optimal practices. Without established “standard of care” guidelines, it’s challenging for patients to find specialized mental health professionals. Fortunately, my training at the Keck School of Medicine, complemented by a certificate in Pain Sciences, positions me to offer research-driven, current education. This equips clients and their families with the necessary tools to make informed health care decisions.
Do you often find medical information perplexing? Are conflicting opinions leaving you baffled? You’re not alone. Many face these challenges in the health care journey. While patients frequently receive brief, specific details about chronic illness and pain, I prioritize a more educational approach, focusing on an interactive and engaging experience. Sadly, despite good intentions, many medical professionals unintentionally leave patients feeling overwhelmed.
But, education isn’t solely for those directly affected by the illness. It’s equally crucial for caregivers and family members. I ensure all involved have a comprehensive grasp on the intricacies, management, and repercussions of chronic illness and pain. After all, families play a pivotal role in patient outcomes and often share in the emotional and psychological journey of the illness. To address this, I’ve tailored education specifically for caregivers, emphasizing their crucial role in the chronic illness experience.
